Full Height ABS Plastic Shutters with 76mm Louvres Fitted to Two Kitchen Windows in Bilston
Steam, Splashes and a Window Above the Sink
This Bilston kitchen has two windows, and both now have Pure White shutters made from ABS plastic. One is the wide window above the sink, about 1.5 metres across, with three panels. The other is a smaller two-panel window, under a metre wide, with patterned glass.
Why We Used Plastic Shutters in a Kitchen
A kitchen window gets steam from cooking, splashes from the sink and condensation. ABS plastic is waterproof, so it won’t warp or crack the way MDF can in a damp room. A damp cloth wipes it clean.

What We Fitted
Every panel is full height, in Pure White, with 76mm louvres. The two windows are different sizes but match.
The louvres tilt with a hidden control, so there’s no bar across the front. All the louvres on a panel tilt together, so one move sets the whole panel.
What You See From the Sink
Close the louvres and each window becomes a plain white panel. Open them and the big window gives you a clear view of the garden.
On the small window, daylight comes through the patterned glass, and the glass still stops anyone seeing in.
